Grants and Financial Compliance Manager

The Manager of Grants and Financial Compliance at ARCH is responsible for overseeing financial aspects related to grant management. This role involves tracking grant spending, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, supporting the monitoring of outcomes and deliverables associated with grants, and supporting the organization in following organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have experience managing federal grant awards within a nonprofit organization, and possess a strong background in accounting. Additionally, this role involves the development and maintenance of specialized databases and systems for recording and tracking grant-related information and the preparation of reports and summaries.
Key Responsibilities:

Grant Compliance: Ensure adherence to grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements for all awarded grants.

Financial Management: Monitor and track grant spending, ensuring that budgets are followed and expenditures align with grant objectives.

Outcome Tracking: Collaborate with program managers to track and report on outcomes, milestones, and deliverables related to grant-funded projects.

Financial Reporting: Develop and distribute regular financial reports to grantors, board members, and internal stakeholders, summarizing the financial status of grant-funded projects.

Database Management: Create and maintain specialized databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, awards, final reports, and related information.

Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all grant-related documents, ensuring easy access for audits and reporting.

Budgeting: Assist in the development of grant budgets, ensuring they align with project objectives and grantor requirements.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement in grant management.

Compliance Audits: Prepare for and participate in compliance audits related to grant-funded projects and operational policies.

Communication and Training: Provide training and guidance to staff members on grant compliance, organizational policies, and reporting requirements, ensuring a high level of understanding and awareness within the organization.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant management, preferably with federal grants in a nonprofit setting.

Strong knowledge of grant compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Proficiency in financial management and accounting practices.

Experience with database management and data analysis tools.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software, including Quick Books online
