Workforce Development Specialist / Case Manager

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Workforce Development Specialist/Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with individuals in the Cafe Overlook career development program, focusing on addressing social needs alongside career development to promote stability through employment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management:

Regularly engage with individuals to assess their needs and progress in the program

Develop detailed success plans, outlining strategies for improving clients' stability

Maintain thorough records of client contacts, progress, setbacks, and case history reports

Connect clients with local resources, programs, and assistance

Provide coaching on making productive, safe, and healthy life choices
Employer Recruitment:

Build relationships with hospitality and restaurant employers in Columbus

Maintain connections with employer partners to track open positions and facilitate referrals for program graduates
Key Responsibilities
Work Environment:

8-hour shifts

Onsite work in Downtown Columbus at 373 S. High St., 16th floor
Qualifications
-
Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, a related field, or equivalent field experience; MSWs strongly encouraged to apply

Valid Ohio driver’s license

Computer skills (Word, Apricot, Sure Impact, Google Drive, etc.) and a willingness to learn new programs

Knowledge of mediation, mental health first aid, and crisis intervention methodologies

State licensure or professional registration is preferred

Evidence of success working with similar clients and programs
-
Empathetic, trauma-informed, with strong boundaries
-
Excellent communication, listening, critical thinking, and organizational skills
-
Knowledge of local resources available to clients in Central Ohio

Willingness to conduct outreach to expand the list of available resources
